American Contemporary Artist William Nelson first caught the
attention of Luxury Experience during the artist reception
for his new works for the exhibition, PRETTY, Desirable, Delightful,
DANGEROUS, at Cavalier Galleries in Greenwich, Connecticut. As film buffs, we were intrigued by his large-scale paintings featuring
iconic actresses Rita Hayworth, Jane Russell,
Brigitte Bardot, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn
Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Uma Thurman, and many more set
against New York landmarks and other film locations. The
deft juxtaposition of the glamorous actresses and the landmarks in their films captured
our imaginations and inspired us to learn more about the engaging artist behind
the impressive art, William Nelson.

I first met
Jacques Pépin in April
2005 at the James Beard House in New York when I
interviewed him on receiving their Lifetime Achievement Award. Throughout the
years, I have watched this kind and talented Master of the Kitchen and
Master Artist charm and delight students, audiences, and readers of his
many books. He has taught us not only how to cook, but how to have fun and take
delight in the kitchen as well as in ourselves. His latest book, Jacques Pépin: Art of the

Performances
|
Dance has
the power to transcend words in that it speaks its own language, the language
of dance, the language of movement and expressionism, that requires no
translation, no matter the country where it is performed. Contemporary
Dance inspires the imagination, which is much more powerful than mere words.
We saw the Vertigo Dance Company, an Israeli
Contemporary Dance Company co-founded by Noa Wertheim and
Adi Sha' al perform their dance composition of "Pardes" at
The Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut, and it was an evening of dance excellence. If
you have the opportunity to experience a performance by the Vertigo Dance
Company, do so, as they are truly spectacular.

Since 1905,
Ottella wines from Lugana, Italy have been winning awards. Their Ottella Le
Creete Lugana DOC 2021 received
92 points from Wine Spectator and is a crisp, white wine with luscious
pineapple and grapefruit notes on the nose, and intense minerality from the
white clay of the terroir. This is a wonderful wine to enjoy on its own or to
pair with a variety of food. We paired it with pasta as well as with seafood,
and the wine was delicious. Ottella Le Creete Lugana DOC 2021 is

After the
excitement of the November and December holidays, there is always a bit of a
slide into the January doldrums and the need for a bit of decadence to ease
into the new year. Riserva wines are always special, and we found
that the Il Grigio Da San Felice Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2019 from the San Felice Estate in Siena, Italy
was especially so and just what we needed with its tradition of excellence.
This intense, deep ruby red Tuscan wine is richly
aromatic with layers nuances of ripe red berries on the nose and the palate with
lush tannins and balanced acidity. Il Grigio Da San Felice Chianti Classico Riserva
DOCG 2019 is imported from Italy to the United States by Total Beverage Solution. Saluti!

Taildraggers - Brace Yourself keeps the bar moving upwards. With over 30-years
of playing together, the trio, of Tim "Too Slim" Langford, Zach
Kasik, and Jeff "Shakey" Fowlkes, shows that nothing can
slow them down. An evening of Blues, Rock, and a nod to the many Americana
influences on this creative trio results in a hard charging, blazing must-have
release.

Cincinnati-based bluesman Ben Levin has another great release out entitled, Take
Your Time, which is something he clearly does not do, as this is his
fifth stellar release, and while a seasoned Blues veteran with a trail of Blues
award nominations to his credit, he is only in his 20s. Released on the
VizzTone Label Group, the 12-track Ben Levin: Take Your Time release features Ben
Levin on piano, joined by Blues master Bob Stroger,
Lil' Ed Williams, Lil' Jimmy Reed, Johnny
Burgin, Noah Wotherspoon, Aron Levin, Walter
Cash, Ricky Nye, Shorty Starr, and Kris
Butler. Lovers of the Blues are going to love Ben Levin: Take
Your Time; I sure did!

The Luke Brasserie * Bar * Café where the culinary

the restaurant is perfectly positioned to become a New Haven favorite.

1967, Owner Joseph DeCristofaro decided it was the perfect time to bring its cuisine

midtown.

Chef Rae Kramer at Il Fiorista in New York City provides a delectable
"floral" taste of the restaurant where the culinary and cocktail focus is on
incorporating floral elements in the creative and very tasty items on their
menus. Chef Rae graciously shares her super delicious recipe for recipe for Hibiscus
Caramelized Onions that are on their Burgers that are on their Brunch
and Flower Happy Hour menus. The name of the restaurant, Il
Fiorista, translates from Italian to English as "The Florist," which
is aptly appropriate with its proximity to the Garden District of New
York City and its positioning in NoMad.
