Ally Venable Rocks Stage One at Fairfield Theatre Company, Fairfield, CT, USA

Blues Rocker Singer Songwriter Guitarist Ally Venable rocked Stage One to a sold-out house at Fairfield Theatre Company, (FTC) in Fairfield, Connecticut on Sunday, August 19, 2026, and Luxury Experience was rocking along with her. Hailing from Texas, Ally Venable brought her guitar shredding Blues Rock to Connecticut for an evening of hard-driving music that kept the audience tapping their feet, bobbing their heads, and on their feet applauding throughout the performance. Whether you are a longtime Ally Venable fan or a Blues Rock fan, if you have the opportunity to catch her tour in the United States or in Europe, do so, it will be worth it.

Although Luxury Experience had reviewed Ally Venable’s past releases including Ally Venable – Real Gone, Ally Venable – Heart of Fire, and Ally Venable Band – Puppet Show, and Ally Venable – No Glass Shoes, this was the first time that we happened to be in the right place at the right time to experience Ally Venable in a live performance, and what a performance it was!

Since 2004, Fairfield Theatre Company (FTC) has brought world-class music to their two venues, The Warehouse, which has a 640 capacity, and StageOne, their intimate 225-seat theatre with seating on three sides of the stage that provides patrons with the opportunity to get up close to the music.

We had the opportunity to see Ally Venable perform on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in StageOne to a sold-out audience who were excited to be there and showed their appreciation all night. Excellent acoustics and the ability to be up close to Ally and watch her rapid-fire fingers shredding her guitar made the evening’s performance so special.

Ally Venable, backed by her band, Isaac Pulido on drums, and EJ Bedford on bass, came out with her guitar blazing to open the performance with the song, Unbreakable, off her Money & Power release. She followed that up with the first cut off that same album, a song about drinking, entitled Brown Liquor, which she introduced by saying, “Cheers to y’all for coming out to see us.” This hard-driving song could be a Blues Rock anthem that hits hard with a finish that like brown liquor, leaves you wanting a little bit more.

Another highlight of the evening was the duet between Ally Venable and EJ Bedford, called Texas Louisiana, off her Real Gone release, which she introduced as having recorded it with Buddy Guy and entitled Texas Louisiana “because that’s where we come from.” Ally slowed it down for the next song entitled Broken and Blue, also off Real Gone, with the heartbreaking lyrics “…I was a fool through and through…you took my pride.”

Ally asked the audience if they were ready to get down and funky, and they were only too happy to comply and clap along to Stopper Back Papa off her 2025 release Money & Power. Throughout the evening, Ally swapped out three guitars, broke a string, told stories, and kept the audience enthralled with her voice, the lyrics, and her amazing fast-fingered guitar work that she has honed since she first started playing guitar at the age of 12, and had her first band at age 13.

Ally closed out the evening with the Jimi Hendrix song, Fire (Let me stand next to your fire), and I’m Goin’ Down. After her performance, Ally met fans in The Gallery, an impressive space where photographs and signed guitars of other performers who had played there including BB King, the Gin Blossoms, Vanessa Carlton, Alice Cooper, and many more, graced the walls. We took the opportunity to say hello to Ally as a way to continue the exceptional feeling of spending time doing what we love – listening to great music.
