Opening the month of May with a wine tasting across the Albert Bichot estates including Maison Albert Bichot (Burgundy), Joseph Mellot (Sancerre), Domaine Tariquet (Gascony / Armagnac), Maison Lorgeril, Champagne Mandois, and Merryvale Vineyards, was not only memorable, but gastronomic with restaurant Gaonnuri, located on the 39th floor at 1250 Broadway, NYC, providing amazing bites to accompany the table stops for wine tasting.
If you are not familiar with the Albert Bichot estates then let us start with the Bichot family who has been established in Burgundy since 1350 and were founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot as a wine trading business. Domaines Albert Bichot currently owns six estates throughout Burgundy and recently ventured in Napa Valley, California with the acquisition of Merryvale Vineyards.
Luxury Experience, Debra C. Argen and Edward F. Nesta, started the day by attending a Wine Master Class featuring wines from Champagne Mandois, Maison Lorgeril, and Merryvale Vineyards. Our Albert Bichot USA Roadshow Tasting 2026 wine journey took us across 8 wine stations featuring 61 wines and 6 Armagnacs. We saved the Armagnac until the end to keep our palates honed for the exquisite wines, and noting that Debra and I both love Armagnac, and we knew that this would be an excellent way to close out a perfect day.
