Each year gardeners and art lovers look forward to attending the Colorblends® House & Spring Garden Show presented by Colorblends® Wholesale Flowerbulbs located in Bridgeport, Connecticut where the gardens are a delightful palette of colors, sizes, and shapes, and for the well-curated art show inside the Colonial Revival mansion located in Bridgeport’s Stratfield Historic District. We enjoyed the 2026 show so much that we went two weekends in a row to see the art inside the house, as well as the ever-changing sensational Spring flowers as they came into various stages of bloom in the gardens. The Colorblends® House & Spring Garden Show runs until May 10, 2026.
Queen’s Day
We first attended The Colorblends® House & Spring Garden Show three years ago and since then it has become an annual Spring tradition for Luxury Experience, as the gardens are stunning and they provide continued inspiration for gardeners, and the art inside the house always offers a rich diversity of styles and mediums.

Last year, we were so inspired by their Show gardens that we contacted Colorblends® to discuss their deer-resistant and rodent-resistant bulbs to plant in our own gardens, where our deer “neighbors” had been eating several of our “tasty” plants. After a consultation last November, we picked up and planted over 350 Colorblends® bulbs (daffodils, alliums, snowdrops, irises, and more) in our various gardens and are happy to report that our Spring gardens have never looked so gorgeous, and our deer “neighbors” are looking elsewhere to graze in other neighbors’ gardens!

On Saturday, April 18, 2026, we attended the show again and as we walked through their gardens we saw several new varieties of flowers that caught our attention that we might like to plant in the fall, including solid white daffodils that would provide a gorgeous contrast to the varying shades of yellow, white, and orange daffodils presently in our gardens, as long as they are deer and rodent resistant!

The colors, shapes, and sizes of the flowers in the House & Spring Garden Show gardens were like eye candy, glorious bursts of color and nature at its finest. The sunny day brought many visitors to enjoy nature’s art in the stunning gardens followed by going inside and enjoying the diversified and well-curated art show.

The artist looketha curated the 2026 URSA Gallery: POW WOW show featuring 18 impressive artists with many at the Reception for visitors to meet and discuss their works of art that included paintings, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, crochet, and fabric art. For the past three years that we have attended, the exhibition has always delivered a well-balanced selection of collectible and interesting art, and 2026 once again did justice to our high expectations. Especially enjoyable was meeting many of the artists during the Reception to learn more about their art, and listening to guitarist Christopher Cavaliere playing during the reception, which added to the overall ambience and artistic vibe.
