Greenwich Art + Design’s latest exhibition featuring the works of Connecticut-based artist Lisa Cuscuna is absolutely stunning. We attended the opening reception on Thursday, June 18, 2026, and were immediately drawn to Lisa’s work with its vibrant color canvases and water-themed works that captivated viewers’ attention. Her paintings have a rich level of depth that made us want to step inside the work and become a part of it. Lisas’s work shows a deft blend of realism and surrealism, each of the paintings, as well as her photographs taken during her travels around the world that were printed on plexiglass, have infinite and lasting appeal. Each piece tells an interesting story, whether that of the artist, or imagined on your own.

Lisa Cuscuna – Infiniti Pool at Santamara-Oia
The first of Lisa’s sensational paintings that caught our attention was Passages, an oil on canvas measuring 49.5 x 61.5 inches that had sold before we walked into the gallery, which had a dream-like quality and appeal. Also interesting was Infinity Pool at Santamara-Oia, an oil on canvas measuring 48 x 72 inches, which inspires the viewer’s imagination to step into the water and take a swim, or float on one’s back and admire the stunning clouds above.

Lisa Cuscuna – Thunder
Lisa Cuscuna’s seascapes are gorgeous and would make a stunning impact and addition whether at a Summer beach house in the Hamptons, or to look at when winter sets in with freezing temperatures, and snows swirls about, to remember warm Summer days. Two of her impressive seascapes that caught our attention were Wave, an oil on canvas measuring 36 x 60 inches, and Thunder, an oil on canvas measuring 37 x 73 inches.

Lisa Cuscuna – Waters Edge
Her photographs printed on plexiglass also have a richness and depth that take the viewer along on Lisa’s trips around the world, including Waters Edge measuring 36 x 45 inches featuring a woman on an exotic beach and the interplay of the mountains in the background, the sand, the sea, and the reflection of the woman’s bright orange clothing on the sand are riveting to admire.

Lisa Cuscuna – Wave
Lisa Cuscuna’s work must be experienced in person to appreciate her talent. The exhibition at Greenwich Art + Design runs until July 18, 2026, and is one you will not want to miss. Until next time, keep enjoying and supporting the arts.
