The Greenwich Concours held in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, Connecticut, is like fantasy land for car aficionados. Held over two-days along the Gulf Coast of Connecticut overlooking the Long Island Sound, the Greenwich Concours consisted of the Concours de Sport (June 1, 2024) and the Concours d’Elegance (June 2, 2024). We are excited to bring you some of the exciting highlights of the Concours d’Elegance. 

Greenwich Concours – Concours d’Elegance 2024 Highlights by Years 

There were many outstanding and memorable motorcars at the Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2024. While we are not able to show you all of them, we are excited to bring you some of the amazing show highlights.

1909 Rolls-Royce 40/50 Silver Ghost

1909 Rolls-Royce 40/50 Silver Ghost presented by Jay Mililler, Little Compton, Rhode Island. Interesting car notes: Ordered new by Horace Trimmer of Hampshire, England in 1909. Engine: Straight 617.OL, 48 hp. Transmission: 3 speeds forward. Weight: 3,050 lbs. Wheelbase: 13.4 inches.” This car received a “Class Award” – Pre-War Classics Rolls Royce.

1927 Minera AF 32 CV presented by Audrain Collections of Newport, Rhode Island. Interesting care notes: “Likely the Sport Sedan pictures on display at the Hotel Commodore at the 1926 New York Auto Salon. This car also made an appearance in the 1937 film “A Damsel in Distress” starring Fred Astaire. This car received the “Distinguished Motorcar Award.”

1927 Rolls-Royce Springfield Phantom I Playboy presented by Mrs. Pamela Gores, New Canaan, Connecticut. Interesting car notes: Bought by Harvard Five architect Landis Gore in 1950, car has remained with the family and is used during the summer for Sunday drives for Pam Gores (age 100). Car was in Alaska and has temperature gauge modification (visible on dash instrument.)” Gorgeous blue exterior. This car received a “Class Award” – Pre-War Classics Rolls Royce.

1937 Rolls-Royce Phantom III Brewster Nermarket Faux Cabriolet presented by George Dragone, Orange, Connecticut. Interesting car notes: One of only 21 Phantom IIIs built with American coachwork. Recent 100% concours restoration.” This car was awarded “Best in Class” – Pre-War Classics Rolls Royce.

1948 Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 presented by Paul C. Wilson of Fairfield, Virginia. Interesting car notes: “The original body on this car was built by Ghia, one of the many custom coachbuilders Alfa sent 6C2500 chassis to during its model run from 1938 to 1952.”

1956 Arnolt-Bristol Bolide presented by Charles Schoendorf of Norwalk, Connecticut. Interesting car notes: “Chassis and drivetrain by Bristol in England. Body designed and fabricated by Bertone om Italy.” This is a stunning car with its candy apple red and cream exterior. This car received the “Lime Rock Award.”

1970 Pontiac GTO presented by Raymond DeCrescenzo of Clifton Park, New York. Interesting notes about this car: the “1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air IV Convertible, turbo 400 transmission and 390 “posi” rear end. Only six convertibles made, and this is the only one in Granada Gold. It also has the most options of the six.”  This car was awarded “Best in Class” – Muscle/Performance – Ultimate Drivetrains.

2008 Rolls-Royce Phantom presented by Robin Alpaugh, Binghamton, New York. Interesting car notes: Owned by Jerry Weintraub, Hollywood film and music producer. MSRP was $504,000. Early build. #6. Drophead Coupe from the Goodwood factory and the first delivered to North America.
