The Delamar Greenwich Harbor located in the heart of Greenwich, Connecticut has the three important essentials of real estate, "location, location, location." Situated on Greenwich Harbor with a private 500-foot dock for guests arriving by sail or motorboats up to 160 feet, this 82-suite and guestroom luxury boutique hotel provides the utmost in attentive service, amenities, and gracious hospitality. Combined with its fitness center, Spa, l'escale Restaurant Bar, and its close proximity to luxury shopping and nearby attractions, the Delamar Greenwich Harbor is a desirable and sought after hotel.
Since opening in 2002, the stunning Delamar Greenwich Harbor has made its mark on Connecticut's Gold Coast with its impeccable service, style, and guest amenities. We stayed at the hotel in late March/early April 2014 and were as impressed with our stay this time as we were on our first stay there several years ago. It was nice to know that the hotel had maintained its high level of service and opulent curb appeal.

We stayed on the fourth floor in an attractive and beautifully furnished Executive Harbor View Room where French doors from our guestroom led to a balcony with a wrought-iron round table and two matching chairs, two pale blue Adirondack chairs, and a wonderful view of Greenwich Harbor.

The king bed had a hand-painted headboard, and the bed was invitingly dressed with ivory linens, Euro shams, decorative bolster, and a lavender throw. There was a Tivoli audio system, and an iPod docking station on a round bedside table, and an old-fashioned "Big Ben" wind-up alarm clock on a nightstand on the opposite side of the bed.
Directly in front of the bed, there was a large hand-painted chest of drawers, a large flatscreen plasma television, and an enclosed mini-bar. In the corner of the room, there was a comfortable green chair trimmed with purple velvet with a decorative pillow, and a floor lamp that was perfect for late night reading. Paintings and other art graced the walls, and sconces, recessed lights, and table lamps provided ample lighting. There was a mirror over the large work desk laden with complimentary magazines. Luxe robes hung inside the closet which had full-length mirrors on the doors, as well as had an iron and ironing board, and a safe.

The spacious bathroom featured Bulgari bath amenities, a hairdryer, and a vanity mirror on the long marble vanity, luxurious towels, a rain-showerhead in the combination tub and shower dressed with a pretty shower curtain, and a toilet.
Gracious in-room details included a drinks table complete with cocktail shaker and glassware, and complimentary newspaper delivered to the room. The hotel's many amenities include complimentary continental breakfast served on the first floor, and for Executive Town Room and Executive Harbor Room guests, there is a private complimentary continental breakfast, as well as all day and evening snacks provided on the fourth floor.

Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi access, complimentary shuttle service within a 3-mile radius, welcome drink at check-in, complimentary wine & cheese reception on Friday and Saturday evenings, complimentary bicycle rental, and complimentary coffee and tea served all day long in their inviting Library on the first floor of the hotel where we enjoyed relaxing and sitting by the cozy fireplace.
During our stay we started our day with a workout in the fitness center, followed by a healthy breakfast. In the evening we enjoyed pre-dinner wine and cheese in our room, followed by an excellent dinner at l'escale Restaurant Bar where a few of the highlights of our dinner included Tuna Tartare, House Smoked Salmon and Caviar Duo, Butter Poached Maine Lobster with Carolina rice grits and wilted dandelion, Berkshire Pork Chop, and Black & White Chocolate Soufflé with pistachio sauce.

With its close proximity to beaches, golf courses, and area attractions and activities, as well as to New York City, approximately a 40-minute drive by car, and easily accessible by train via Metro-North Railroad (www.MTA.info) with travel time under 1-hour to New York City, it is a desirable location for both the business and leisure traveler. The hotel is also dog friendly and welcomes dogs weighing less than one hundred pounds for guests who prefer to travel with their four-legged best friend.
