Carmen Ratti Band Featuring Jill Dineen – Come to Me was recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Christoffer Lund “Kid” Andersen, recorded at the Greaseland Studios USA, and released on the MoMojo Records label. Come to Me is the second album released from the Carmen Ratti Band featuring Jill Dineen and is the first release on the MoMojo Records label. Carmen Ratti commented, regarding the release Come to Me, “This record mirrors the roots of Blues while incorporating Soul, Gospel, Rock, Blues and Funk. These textures honor our influences and show up in many different ways throughout the album.”
The release opens with the track No Delusion a slow burning Blues track that features Jill Dineen’s vocal prowess before opening up against the powerful keyboard work of Tony “Macaroni” Lufrano and the pulsating bass of Steve Hazelwood. The track, Get in Line, moves from Blues to a Rock pulse and Jill’s powerful vocals light up the song along with Carmen’s scintillating guitar work.
The title track, Come to Me, is a beautifully poignant track that is carried by Jill’s exceptional vocals and Carmen’s captivating guitar. The release changes pace with the track, I Can See written by Jill Dineen, which is a mix of Blues, Gospel, and a melody of Soul. The track, Riley written by Carmen Ratti, is an instrumental song that puts Carmen’s guitar work front-and-center and he truly takes control and occasionally he turns it over to the organ work of Tony Lufrano.
The track, Blessing in the Blues, brings back the raw Blues sound through a solid baseline and Jill’s enthralling vocals. Coming Down is a track that lets it loose as the band shows their musicianship while wrapping their sound around engaging lyrics. The track, About You, is a Rock genre song that features Carmen on vocals accompanied by his blazing guitar work.
The release closes with the tracks, Uncle Joe, an instrumental melding Blues, Funk, Rock and Soul, Pretty Good Man, a powerful punching Gospel inspired song allowing Jill to take control and make a statement, and the releases closes with an extended version of the title track, Come to Me, that adds in more guitar work layered on mesmerizing vocals.
