Product Information: Litchfield Distillery Maple Bourbon Whiskey is made from a delectable blend of locally grown corn, rye, and barley. This tasty bourbon took home a Bronze Medal ADI Craft Spirits 2020 award. It is 43% alcohol by volume (86 proof), and each bottle proudly bears its handwritten bottle and batch numbers on the front of the bottle. Our bottle number was 298, Batch 17. Litchfield Distillery Maple Bourbon retails for $47.99 for a 750 ml bottle. Litchfield Distillery Maple Bourbon is presented in a beautifully designed tall bottle with an amber label proudly bearing their logo of a batcher rolling a barrel and a black wax covered stopper.
Bottle notes: "A local sugar maker ages their craft maple syrup in our retired bourbon barrels. After the syrup is produced, the barrels return home to the Batchers’ who promptly refill them with Straight Bourbon. The result is a smooth bourbon that highlights the maple’s sweet and complex character." To our way of thinking, this process truly defines the meaning of a product coming full circle.
Tasting Notes: The color is a rich, burnished amber color. The nose elicits lovely sweet maple notes. On the palate, the rich bourbon flavor is rounded out with maple notes for a delectably long and lingering finish. This bourbon is an outstanding sipping bourbon that is very nice with a little water to open up its notes or used in cocktail or culinary recipes.
Luxury Experience was "In the kitchen and behind the bar®" creating some incredibly special handcrafted cocktail and culinary recipes to tempt your palate and inspire your own creations using Litchfield Distillery Straight Bourbon.

Luxury Experience – Maple Bourbon Pumpkin Pie with Gingersnap Crust –To celebrate autumn, pumpkins, and maple syrup, we created Luxury Experience – Maple Bourbon Pumpkin Pie with Gingersnap Crust, which has Litchfield Distillery Maple Bourbon in the pumpkin custard and is garnished with LD Maple Bourbon whipped cream for an ultra-decadent finish. Method for the Crust: Add the finely crushed gingersnap cookies and butter to a food processor and process until the crumbs stick together.
Note: Finely grind some extra cookies to scatter on the plate for presentation.
Lightly spray your pie plate with vegetable oil so that you can easily cut and remove the pie from the pie plate. Evenly press the crumb mixture over the bottom and sides of the pie plate. Place a piece of plastic wrap over the crumb mixture, place another pie plate on top and lightly but firmly press down to create a firm crust. Remove top pie plate and refrigerate crust while you make the filling.

Method for the Pumpkin Filling: Add eggs to a large bowl and beat using a whisk. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until thoroughly combined. Pour into prepared gingersnap crust. Cut a piece of aluminum foil and lightly wrap around edges of the pie so the crust does not get too brown.
Important Note for Baking: As the filling is a custard, you start the baking process at 425 degrees Fahrenheit (218 degrees Celsius) for 15 minutes.
Reduce the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 degrees Celsius) for the balance of the time, approximately 20 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Baking time will vary according to size of pie plate used.
Remove pie from the oven and cool on a baking rack. Chill for several hours in the refrigerator before serving.
