We had the extreme pleasure of seeing Beth Nielsen Chapman perform at The Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center affectionately known as "The Kate" in Old Saybrook, Connecticut on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The intimate 285-seat cultural arts center named for Old Saybrook’s beloved actor and resident, Katharine Hepburn (1907-2003), was the perfect venue to experience the music of Beth Nielsen Chapman (BNC) on tour to promote her 15th album entitled, CrazyTown, released in September 2022.

We spent a perfect Sunday afternoon at The Cutting Room in New York City for the launch party for Pat Petrillo’s new album, The Pat Petrillo Big Rhythm Band – The Power Station Sessions released on the Autumn Hill Records label. While we had reviewed the album, we had never heard him play live before and thought it was high time that we did. The Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut delivered another exceptional, sensational, and unique cultural experience with nora chipaumire’s opera, Nehanda, "protest, legal gathering, world making." Performed in its entirety, the opera lasted just shy of 5 hours with the audience seated on stage for a most incredible and fantastic evening of exploration and learning. Bravo!
