Okay, we admit it; we have a sweet tooth and find it hard to say “no” to gorgeous desserts, and why would we when visiting Sift Bake Shop at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut after The Sun Wine & Food Fest 2026. Adam Young and his wife Ebbie Young are the founders of the stunning and delicious bakery. Adam opened the first Sift Bake Shop in 2016 after honing his craft at the New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont, and then worked at top luxury venues before deciding to strike out on his own. He now has four locations, three in Connecticut and one in Rhode Island, to tempt your palate and appease your sweet tooth. Bon Appetit!
Macarons – Yum!!
After enjoying the Grand Tasting, on January 24, 2026, part of the four-day The Sun Wine & Food Fest 2026 at Mohegan Sun, we made a visit to Sift Bake Shop, where its pristine glass cases beckoned with their sumptuous culinary gems, including gorgeous French Macarons in an array of breathtaking colors and flavors including Vanilla Bean, Pistachio, Coffee, Chocolate, Rose Water, and so many more. When it comes to desserts, French Macarons, are a favorite of ours, as they are lighter than air, delicate and elegant confections sandwiched together with luscious filling. When French Macarons are made correctly, they melt in your mouth with each bite, and they definitely were made correctly. Sold individually or packaged in attractive gift-boxes, they are perfect to enjoy with coffee or tea or given as a gift.
Sift Bake Shop – Bring Home Some Goodies
The inviting cases held a wide selection of cookies and brownies including large and decadent Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies, Sugar Cookies, 4-Way Brownies, and more. There were also perfection perfect confections including a diverse selection of breakfast pastries (croissants, scones, turnovers, and more), granolas, and an exotic assortment of beautifully crafted elegant French Entremets (intricate molded desserts) including Peanut Buter Praline, Opera Cake, Blood Orange Earl Grey, a variety of cheesecakes, and many more each more dazzling than the next.
