The J House Spa
After a summer spent indulging in fun in the sun, and now with Autumn’s colder and windy weather, it was time for us to make time and take care of ourselves as we prepare for the upcoming holidays and the harsh elements of Winter in the Northeast. After experiencing a wonderful stay at The J House Greenwich in August 2023, we decided it was time to return to experience their Spa. Nestled inside the luxury 83-rooms and suites boutique hotel, The J House Greenwich, the attractive J House Spa provides a gracious and hospitable welcome for both hotel guests and outside visitors with its four attractive and state-of-the-art treatment rooms (one is a couple’s massage room), and offers a well-curated Spa menu of diverse treatments.
On Sunday, November 9, 2025, we went to J House Spa, celebrating its 10th year of providing luxury Spa treatments, to indulge in much needed pampering treatments. A luxury Spa experience engages all of the senses, and our experience began as we walked into the Spa where a light scent gently perfumed the air, at once welcoming, soothing, and relaxing. Warmly and graciously welcomed by Francine, we filled out our paperwork, then were whisked away by their professional team members, Esthetician Renata, and Licensed Massage Therapist, Valterli “Val.”
The J House Spa menu is extensive and offers many treatments that even larger Spas may not offer. Their menu consists of Facial Treatments (4 options), Advanced Facial Treatments (4 options), Hydrafacial Treatments (5 options), Massage Treatments (4 options), Advanced Massage Treatments (5 options), Alternative Massage Treatments (4 options), Energy Treatment (Reiki), Holistic Treatments (4 options), Body Treatments (3 options), special For Him Treatments including Gentlemen’s Custom Facial, Purifying Back Treatment, Foot Cleansing Ritual, and Magnesium Enhanced Massage, Signature Rituals (4 options), Waxing & Eyebrow Services (22 options), Psychic Medium and Medical Intuitive, Private Sound Healing (2 options), and IV Hydration Services (5 options).
With so many options available and so many diverse treatments, it was hard to choose which treatments we wanted to experience; certainly, a nice conundrum to have, and one that offers many possibilities for future visits to the J House Spa. After careful consideration, we selected one of the Advanced Facial Treatments, Oh My Glow Facial, (for Debra), and a Brazilian Sculpting Massage (for Edward).
If you are new to Spa facials, the best way to describe a Spa facial is that it is like having a soothing and caressing massage for your face, neck, shoulders, arms, and hands. Since it is important to always put your best face forward, a Spa facial not only provides much needed skin hydration, but it also relaxes facial and neck tension and tones the skin and underlying muscles.
The Oh My Glow Facial was 75-minutes of pure indulgence and pleasure. Renata used Le Mieux stem cell infused skincare to lift, tighten, and define facial contours, while brightening my skin for an immediate glow. Through the use of hydrolyzed collagen peptide, vitamin C, rice starch, and pearl powder, she was able to help tone, re-texturize, and brighten my skin for a firmer, more youthful-looking appearance. She finished the treatment with an oxygenating infuser dispensing an ultra-fine, hydrating mist that gave instant volume and provided a “glass skin” glow.
Lying on a warm massage table, with soft, relaxing music playing in the background with a warm blanket over me, I drifted into a semi-sleep, as Renata gently worked her magic on my face, neck, arms, and hands. Alternating cool and warm treatment methods, compounded with the relaxing movement of her hands massaging my face, neck, arms, and hands, left me completely relaxed, my skin beautifully hydrated, and indeed my skin was glowing after my treatment! I cannot wait to experience this treatment again, as well as experience other treatments in the future at J House Spa.
Edward: Getting a massage is so therapeutic, as it relieves stress and tension in the neck and back, relaxes the body and the mind, and leaves you with a sense of extreme well-being. The Brazilian Sculpting Massage (a new treatment not yet on the Spa menu on the website) was also 75-minutes of welcoming indulgence, where Valterli “Val” worked on problematic muscle aches. The Brazilian Sculpting Massage helps stimulate the lymphatic system to help detoxify the body, reduce fluid retention, help with skin tightening, and promote overall wellness. The massage was relaxing, relieved tension and back pain, and was a very pampering experience.
I truly enjoy a firm, fast and rhythmic body treatment and the Brazilian Sculpting Massage was the perfect selection. The use of a wooden tool for body contouring and to smooth out muscles while improving circulation was exactly what I needed. I pointed out an area where I have sciatica pain and between Val’s firm hands and the use of the tool it relieved the tension and pain in that area. I left the treatment feeling invigorated and refreshed; in fact, the Brazilian Sculpting Massage has been added to my list of favorite treatments.
After we finished our treatments, we continued our Spa experience over relaxing cups of Numi tea, nibbled on Biscoff biscuits, and reflected on the excellence of the J House Spa. Until next time, remember to take care of yourself; you are worth it!
