Hartford Flavor Company Vanilla Flavored Vodka is a delectable super premium gluten free vodka made with organic sugar cane and infused Tahitian and Madagascar vanilla beans. Creatrix and Infusionary Lelaneia Dubay is the driving force behind her innovative woman-owned distillery in Hartford, Connecticut, where the flavors she creates are as innovative as she.

 

 

 

Hartford Flavor Company Vanilla Flavored Vodka

Product and Bottle Information: Hartford Flavor Company Vanilla Flavored Vodka, 30% alcohol (60 proof), is handcrafted and bottled in Hartford, Connecticut. Ingredients: Filtered water, organic sugar cane, grain neutral spirit, Tahitian, and organic Madagascar vanilla. Certified organic by BOC. Look for the tall, elegant bottle with the whimsically inspired label. Handcrafted in small batches, the bottles list Batch and Bottle Number on their label. Our bottle was batch number IVI, Bottle number 30. Retail: $28.00. 

Bottle Notes: "Botanically infused with a layered blend of Tahitian and Madagascar vanilla beans, this vanilla flavored vodka is made with organic sugar cane and is gluten free. We add only pure Highly Filtered Water to make it perfect for sipping or adding into your favorite cocktails. Cheers!" 

Tasting Notes: Vanilla forward on the nose and palate with a nice, clean finish. This is a wonderfully smooth and balanced sipping vodka that is delicious served icy cold out of the freezer. It is also lovely in cocktail and culinary recipes.

Luxury Experience - Pineapple Sage Vanilla Martini is a delectably fresh cocktail made with Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka, Noilly Prat Extra Dry Vermouth, homemade pineapple sage simple syrup, and fresh lime juice. 

Luxury Experience - Pineapple Sage Vanilla Martini

Yield: 1 cocktail
Glass Used: Martini Glass 

 

Cocktail Ingredients:

Pineapple and Fresh Sage, garnish

Method:  Chill a martini glass. Add all ingredients to a metal shaker, add 4 ice cubes and shake to incorporate ice into the cocktail. Garnish with a half-moon of fresh pineapple and fresh sage.

Method for the Pineapple Sage Simple Syrup: Add water, sugar, pineapple, and sage to a small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil until the liquid is clear and sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool. Smash pineapple to exude all the juices. Strain simple syrup into a glass jar. Discard sage leaves. Use crushed pineapple for another use. Store in a covered jar in the refrigerator until ready to serve. May make one week ahead. Simple syrup is a great addition to use in cocktails, to sweeten iced tea or lemonade, brush on cake layers before frosting, and can also be used in dressings or marinades. 

Apples love vanilla and maple syrup, which was our thinking when we dreamed up our cocktail, Luxury Experience - Hot Apple Pie a 'la Mode, which is made with cider, Stash Black Tea Double Spice Chai, River's Edge Sugarhouse Maple Syrup, spices, and Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka. It takes its a ‘la mode name from the cappuccino foam layered on the top of this hot cocktail that is perfect to chase away the chills on cold autumn or winter days.

Chai Cider Ingredients:

Star Anise

Method: Add water to a small saucepan, bring water to a boil, add teabag, and let steep for 3 minutes. Remove teabag, add cider, River's Edge Sugarhouse Maple Syrup, cinnamon stick, and 1 star anise. Bring to a boil, then let simmer for 2 minutes.

Method: Heat chai cider mixture, add Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka, stir, pour into a snifter glass. Top with Cappuccino Foam, dust with powdered cinnamon, and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Serve hot.

Luxury Experience - Capital Hot Chocolate takes its name from Hartford being the capitol of Connecticut. We turned hot chocolate into a decadently rich adult beverage by adding Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka and Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters. Rimmed with melted chocolate and a generous mound of spirit -infused whipped cream, our Capital Hot Chocolate is a capital idea!

Spirit-Infused Whipped Cream, Chocolate Rim, garnish

Method for the Chocolate Rim: Melt chocolate on a microwavable plate. Rim the edge of the mug in the melted chocolate. Set aside until ready to use. May be made in advance. 

Method for the Whipped Cream: Whip one-half cup of heavy cream (whipping cream) with one-quarter ounce Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka and 2 tablespoons sugar. Chill until ready to use. 

Method for the Hot Chocolate: Heat the milk with the Fee Brothers Aztec Chocolate Bitters. Add the Trader Joe's Sipping Chocolate and sugar. Stir to combine until smooth. Add the Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka and pour into chocolate-rimmed mugs. Garnish with whipped cream.

Apples and cranberries are the hallmarks of Autumn, and Luxury Experience - Spirited Apple, Cranberry, Choccottone Pudding, is sure to become a favorite "comfort food" dessert with the addition of Bauducco Chocottone used in place of bread, and Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka added to create a spirited dessert. 

Luxury Experience - Spirited Chocottone, Apple, Cranberry Bread Pudding 
Pan: 8x8x2.5-inch glass baking dish
Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius)
Servings: 9

Method: Butter the glass baking dish and set aside. Melt butter, let slightly cool. Mix Half & Half, heavy cream, eggs, sugar, Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka, and Fee Brothers Cranberry Bitters. Add diced Bauducco Chocottone, diced apples, and fresh cranberries. Mix ingredients together, then pour into buttered glass baking dish. Bake for 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm or cold. 

Top with whipped cream flavored with Hartford Flavor Vanilla Vodka. Use same recipe for the Whipped Cream as for the Luxury Experience - Capitol Hot Chocolate, which pairs well with this dessert.
