For us, like many people, Summer is our favorite season; it is a time to sit outside and spend lazy days at the beach, relaxing in the pool, or entertaining friends with a casual dinner on our deck. Summer is always special no matter where you spend it, however Summer in the Hamptons and the South of France is a celebration, which was the creative thinking behind Hampton Water Rosé. Jon Bon Jovi, and his son Jesse Bongiovi live the Hamptons lifestyle and wanted a quality rosé to drink with their friends there. They approached the renowned French winemaker Gérard Bertrand to make this dream happen, and Hampton Water Rosé was born. The result is a delectable rosé presented in an attractive tall clear glass bottle with a glass stopper instead of the usual cork, and a diver on the label. While Summer may only last a few months, we may be able to extend the feel of it this year by drinking Hampton Water Rosé anytime.

Tasting Notes: Hampton Water Rosé is a blend of Grenache (60%) a red wine grape varietal that lends color to the wine along with spice and berry notes, Cinsault (15%) is also a red wine varietal that adds softness and aroma, Mourvèdre (15%) is a red wine grape varietal that is used to make rosé and fortified wine, and Syrah (also called Shiraz, 10%), lends body as well as berry and spice notes. The result is a rich, dry, crisp wine with a gorgeous pink salmon color with nice minerality, floral, citrus and berry notes on the nose that follow through on the palate. It is lovely to drink on its own or pair with appetizers or seafood.
Pairing Suggestions: We paired Hampton Water Rosé with Luxury Experience – Hampton Mussels, which is perfect Summertime fare that complements the wine. The recipe is easy to make and easy to enjoy with friends on a beautiful Summer evening. Serve with grilled bread to soak up the rich broth accompanied by glasses of Hampton Water Rosé and savor a delicious taste of Summer no matter the season.
