If you are an experienced Spa patron, you know that they can be a transformative experience. If you have never experienced a Spa, it should be on your bucket list of things that must be experienced. During our stay at the MGM Springfield hotel on June 15, 2019 we experienced their Spa, The Spa at MGM Springfield, where the tranquil ambience began at the reception desk. The décor was at once inviting and captured the New England boating essence with its intricate ropes suspended from a column, while the Spa reception team warmly welcomed guests.
The Spa at MGM Springfield opened in August 2018 and has a total of 7 well-equipped, state-of-the-art attractive treatment rooms, one of which is a Couples Massage treatment room, and one is an ADA-designed t treatment room.
Full-service Salon and Skincare Services
Spa services include a full-service salon, skincare services, waxing services, and aplethora of massage services including Custom, Couples, Expecting Mother, Athlete’s, Hot Stone, and Signature Massage with Wrap, with enhancements of aromatherapy, Hot Oil Scalp Treatment, Hair Apothecary, Hand Scrub, FootScrubs, and Fire and Ice.
We opted to experience a late afternoon Couples Massage in their specially designed Couples Massage treatment room, which had two massage tables for our two massage therapists, “Team Lisa.”(both of our therapists were named Lisa), worked their massage and skill at reducing stress and tension spots as we spend long hours sitting in front of our computers. With low music playing in the background, and the subtle fragrance of the essential oils wafting in the air, we settled into the warm cocoon of the massage treatment beds and let the extreme relaxation of a massage transport us to another level of consciousness. At the end of our 50-minute massage, we felt relaxed, energized, stress-free, and ready to experience a night on the town, or in this case, an enjoyable eveningat the MGM Springfield dining and dancing the night away.
After our massage treatments we spent time in the Spa’s steam rooms to allow the massage oils to seep into our skin, further enhancing our spa experience. The well-equipped locker rooms had thoughtful amenities which included chilled fruit infused water and dried apricots in the restful sitting area, and a host of toiletries and hair care items along with blow dryers.
Our next stop was the outdoor pool and hot tub area, where inviting lounge chairs positioned alongside the pool provided the perfect place for us to relax for a few minutes and soak up the late afternoon rays of a gorgeous blue-sky June day ending our wonderful Spa experience at The Spa at MGM Springfield.
The Spa at MGM Springfield is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm; it closed Sunday and Monday.
