Edward and I stayed in a spacious two-room suite at Le Westin Resort & Spa, Tremblant in late February 2011, and appreciated its close proximity to everything, combined with excellent amenities including a Business Center, complimentary daily newspapers in English and French, Westin WORKOUT® Room with state-of-the-art fitness equipment, Amerispa where we indulged in pampering Spa services, a Sauna, and a heated outdoor pool and an oversized whirlpool where we relaxed outdoors and especially appreciated after a fun-filled day of adventures.

The hotel has two excellent restaurants, Restaurant Yamada featuring Japanese cuisine and sushi, and Lounge featuring international and regional cuisine. One of the more unusual, but very tasty, highlights that we enjoyed during dinner at Restaurant Yamada was the Maki B-52 made with salmon, Rice Krispies®, avocado, and lettuce served with spicy sauce. We also enjoyed the Maki Dancing Eel made with smoked eel, crabstick, caviar, avocado, and cucumber; the Smoked Fresh Water Eel Sushi; and the Warm Maki Yamada Chop made with tuna, shrimp, avocado tempura with ginger sauce and caviar.

We began each day with a sumptuous breakfast at Lounge where the extensive hot and cold buffet offered French toast, pancakes, eggs, ham, sausages, bacon, homefries, a variety of cold and hot cereals, fresh fruit and melons, pastries and breads, smoked salmon, pâté, and much more.

Lunch highlights at Lounge included the loaded Traditional Club Sandwich of chicken, bacon, tomato, lettuce, on toast served with French Fries, and Cheese Quesadillas served with salsa and sour cream, and a side order of a basket of crispy French Fries, which was just what we needed after a morning adventure.

Our attractive two-room suite featured an electric fireplace in the living area that lighted with the touch of a button creating both ambience and warmth, there was a large Zenith television in an armoire, a sofabed and two comfortable chairs flanking a large coffee table, and a small terrace reached from the French doors that overlooked the colorful Pedestrian Village and the ski slopes.

The dining area included a round table with four upholstered chairs, and a fully stocked kitchenette equipped with a Thermador range, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee and tea maker, as well as a selection of pots and pans, dishes, glasses, and cutlery, perfect for families, longer stays, or for enjoying a quick snack.
The king bedroom featured Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed® with their deluxe 10-layer mattress invitingly dressed with a pristine ivory duvet and an assortment of pillows in various sizes and shapes. Nightstands flanked either side of the bed holding a telephone and alarm clock. Opposite the bed there was a large armoire with drawers for clothes and a large Zenith television, there was a wicker chair placed next to the window, and a closet with two Westin robes.

The large bathroom featured their Heavenly Shower/Bath® with double showerheads, hairdryer, make-up/shaving mirror, assorted Heavenly by Westin Spa White Tea Aloe amenities, and a scale. Other in-room amenities included high speed Internet access, a safe in the foyer closet, and a selection of magazines.
