Suter Band – Just Stay High hits the streets June 6th, 2025 and is a tour-de-force of Blues, Rhythm and Blues, and Rock and Roll carried by the extraordinary vocal prowess of Alexis P. Suter and accompanied by a stellar group of musicians featuring Jimmy Bennett, Peter Bennett, Ray Grappone, Daniel Weiss, Vicki Bell, Byron Isaacs, Will Bryant and Lee Falco.

The Alexis P. Suter Band – Just Stay High – was Produced by Byron Isaacs, Will Bryant, Vicki Bell, and The Alexis P. Suter Band, and Executive Producer, Peter Bennett and released on the Nola Blue Records label. The release was “born” during the pandemic when the band members knew they “needed to stay on the path of conscious creativity, spending many days collaborating and brainstorming to make our dream come to life.” The path of conscious creativity resulted in a 14-track release that crosses genres from Blues, Rhythm and Blues to Rock and Roll.
The release opens with the track, God Gave Me The Blues, a meaty Blues song that lets Alexis’ amazing vocals ring true Blues while capturing the listener with its deep lyrics, “God Gave Me The Blues, what the hell was he thinking about……I’m going to waste my life away…” The track Some People is straight ahead Blues allowing Alexis to coddle the lyrics with her powerful and capturing vocals, “Some people they don’t give a damn about it…….some people want to sing a song about it…everyday people we need change.”
The release segues with Breath, which opens with and maintains a punchy baseline to establish the foundation for her vocals. The track, Be On Your Way, is down and dirty Blues and her voice is a perfect fit for the deep and prominent lyrics, “Yeah baby, it’s time for you to go…..Give Big Mama what she wants….” My Only Need is a poignant and stellar track with beautiful harmonies with Vicki Bell and outstanding acoustic guitar work.
It Ain’t Easy starts out with a three part harmony of Alexis, Vicki Bell and Peter Bennett that establishes and captures your listening presence. The guitar cut aways throughout the song are a powerful complement to the vocals. The track 4 Wheels Beats 2 Heels is a fun song as the band lets loose and struts their way throughout. Another entertaining track is Big Girl Panties with amusing lyrics, “Don’t you try to tell me to put my big girl panties on, mind your own damn business…”
The release slows down with the title track, Just Stay High, a touching and embracing song that Alexis’ vocals capture emphatically. Other worthy tracks include Ride All Night, and Isolation, a Rock and Roll edged song with great guitar work; and the cover of the Leon Russell track, Song For you, that shows the power, depth, and projection of Alexis’ voice.
The release closes with the tracks Love Always Wins, and Piece of Clay, a heartfelt song with pointed lyrics, “Everybody wants somebody to be their own piece of clay…”
