Couture Designer Diana Mahrach presented her sumptuous collection during Fashion Week 2025 in New York City at the landmark building, 3 West Club, where the ballroom’s sparkling chandeliers added a layer of elegance and sophistication to Diana’s designs. The collection consisted of elegant eveningwear for women, men, and an adorable gown for a child that would make every little girl feel like a princess.

On Friday, January 7, 2025, we experienced Designer Diana Mahrach’s Couture Collection held at 3 West Club in Midtown Manhattan, part of New York Fashion Week. Five-time Emmy Award winning journalist, Kristen Thorne was the Emcee for the well-attended event, which featured music from New York singer-songwriter Melina.

Diana was born in Morocco and raised in the United States, and founded her design house, Diana Mahrach Couture in New York City’s Fashion District in Midtown Manhattan in 1999. Her design focus is creating elegant, sumptuous designer wear for all sizes, for all ages, and includes womenswear, menswear, and childrenswear. Her design focus is for Bridal, Engagement, Evening, Prom, and Short Dresses. You can also arrange a consultation with Diana.

Her impressive womenswear collection for 2025 included an enviable mix of gorgeous gowns and short cocktail dresses. Strapless, one-shoulder, long sleeve, and short sleeve, the collection offered a diverse selection to appeal to different fashion tastes as well as a variety of events where they would be worn. The gowns styles included mermaid, slinky, and some with pooling trains that were made for making an entrance.

Hemlines ranged from floor length to ankle length, to thigh high, and from symmetrical to asymmetrical, that kept the collection varied and fresh. As one would expect from couture fashion, attention to detail on the design and beadwork was beautifully crafted, as was her architectural shoulder detail on a few of the gowns.

The collection had many highlights including an elegant and slinky gown with sweetheart neckline with emerald-green beadwork over an illusion slip and short sleeves with a vee-back. Encrusted beadwork as well as long fringe beadwork created a timeless design with a nod to the art deco days of couture.

Another highlight was her “butterfly” design gown where the design was exquisitely and expertly crafted with its colorful beading and rhinestones over illusion fabric on the body of the gown and along the wrist length sleeves.

Also interesting was her black and white design, which had a strapless black bodice and attached softly pleated ivory skirt with large rosettes fashioned on the fabric, and a multi-length hemline that created a ripple effect from its mid-thigh front that cascaded down to a long train in the back.

Her long capes in bright jewel tones presented with a selection of her gowns were sumptuous, elegant, and made for impressive black-tie entrances. Especially notable was a stunning slinky sequined gown with beaded spaghetti straps complemented by a dramatic multi-tufted coppery-orange cape that trailed to the floor. Diana presented a royal blue beaded gown with spaghetti straps and cutouts with a matching royal blue tufted cape.

Another dramatic design was a black strapless gown with an illusion vee neckline, and wide rhinestone belt that accented the three puffed tiers. Contemporary yet timeless, this gown is destined to become a vintage classic.

Men were well represented in her collection with blazers and evening suits, which featured ornate beadwork on the shoulders, sleeves, and on the backs of the jackets done up in satins, silk jacquard, and velvet. Shawl collars, as well as a few more traditional styles were included in the collection to appeal to diverse fashion styles.
