The Chandler Steakhouse at MGM Springfield, MA - photo by Luxury Experience We had an excellent dinner at The Chandler Steakhouse, an elegant fine dining restaurant at the MGM Springfield located in Springfield, Massachusetts, where the traditional décor and attentive professional service team created the perfect backdrop for the outstanding culinary experience created by Executive Chef Restaurant Kyle Beausoleil. Although the restaurant, which opened in August 2018, is a steakhouse, there are enough seafood items on the menu to appeal to both "surf" and "turf" appetites.

The delectable Woodnotes Grille menu features many New York state and Catskill Mountain local products, a nice selection of New York State wines in addition to United States and international wines, well-crafted artisanal cocktails, and excellent service, which made our experience at the restaurant most pleasurable.

Attractive presentations followed by inspired palate-pleasing combinations make the dining experience most memorable. Prime 44 West is an upscale steakhouse named for native West Virginian Jerry West, who played at West Virginia University and also played, and later coached, the Los Angeles Lakers, part of the National Association of Basketball league, where he won a total of 10 championships;  impeccable service matches the high profile cuisine. Sous Chef Meredith Flavin is the talent in the kitchen.

The most difficult part of dining there is selecting only one starter, one entrée, and one dessert each, and although difficult, we did manage, and it was a nice problem to have. Chef de Cuisine Dustin Tuthill is the talent in the kitchen, and his menu is inspired, creative, and most important, very tasty!

We sat in the main dining room where an inviting fire blazed in the large fireplace, and basked in the warmth and admired the holiday décor. Becky Mallar had transformed the room for the holiday season gorgeously decorating the mantel and the mirror, trimming each of the windows with garland, ornaments, and attractive wreaths, and the large picture window was the perfect setting for a tiny holiday village.
