Founded 10 years ago by Creatrix, Lelaneia Dubay, the woman-owned distillery located at 30 Arbor Street, has a diverse line of exceptional Hartford Flavor Company Vodkas, Wild Moon Liqueurs, and Wild Moon Botanics Liqueurs. With flavors like Raisin Fig Vodka, Sour Cherry Vodka, Lavender Liqueur, Cucumber Liqueur, Rose Liqueur, Birch Liqueur, Sumac Liqueur, and Sage Liqueur, to name but a few of the botanic infused spirits, visiting Hartford Flavor Company Distillery is for adults what Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory is for children. Hartford Flavor Company Distillery

We took an interesting tour at the organic distillery on Saturday, July 20, 2024. where the Creatrix Lelaneia Dubay has created a botanist’s dream of spirits with her Wild Moon Liqueurs, Wild Moon Botanics Liqueurs, and Hartford Flavor Company Vodkas. For the past 10 years, Lelaneia has been crafting spirits from sugar cane, which is naturally smooth and gluten-free. Her flavor combinations though are what cocktail and culinary dreams are made from. Also important to note is that the flavored vodkas are delicious and while they are made from sugar cane, they are not sweet, just full of flavor.

The tour took us behind the scenes, where we learned about how they create their diverse line of products. Our education also involved product tasting including their newest flavored vodkas, Hartford Flavor Company Raisin Fig Vodka, and Harford Flavor Company Sour Cherry Vodka. Both were delicious and our minds kept imagining how we could use them to create great cocktails and culinary recipes. Other Hartford Flavor Company Vodkas include Organic Vodka, Vanilla Vodka, Orange Vodka, and their new Espresso Vodka, and all are delicious!

Hartford Flavor Company Distillery – The Lounge

The intriguing and diverse line-up of Wild Moon Liqueurs flavors include Cucumber, Rose, Lime, Cranberry, Lavender, Birch, Chai Spice, and their newest flavor, Chocolate. The Wild Moon Botanics Liqueurs include Sumac, 7 Lemon, Sage, and Roasted Dandelion Root. Imagine the possibilities using these very diverse ingredients!

Following the tour, we enjoyed cocktails in their gorgeous cocktail lounge where the cocktails were pure inspiration, well-crafted, balanced, and served in vintage glasses to add a glamorous touch. One of the cocktails we enjoyed was their Indigo Eyes cocktail, from their “Summer Cocktails Menu 2024,” made with Hartford Flavor Company Organic Vodka, Wild Moon Lavendar Liqueur, Blackberry Purée, Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade, and garnished with fresh mint and a sprig of lavender. This was a stunner, from the presentation to the taste, with its layers of nuanced flavors.

We also enjoyed their Birch & Bourbon cocktail that is on their “Always Available” menu, made from Wild Moon Birch Liqueur and bourbon, and garnished with an orange peel, and presented with a thin birch twig stirrer. Both cocktails were delicious and showed the diversity of their delicious and interesting product line.

Also nice to know is that Wild Moon Liqueurs, Wild Moon Botanics Liqueurs, and Harford Flavor Company Vodkas are available for purchase at the Distillery along with vintage glasses and cocktail paraphernalia to enhance your cocktail experience at home.

Pricing: Tours include product tasting and a cocktail for $15.00. Cocktails without the tour, or additional cocktails are available for purchase at $13 each. A selection of food is also available for purchase.

Hartford Flavor Company Distillery Hours: Tour Seatings: Friday from 4:00 om until 7:00 pm, Saturday from 1:00 pm until 7:00 pm. By Reservations, every 30 minutes.

Bottle Sales: Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
