Although Patrick Zimmerli Quartet – Shores Against Silence was released on November 4, 2016 and distributed by Songlines Recordings, it was recorded in 1992 and only distributed as an underground tape on the New York music scene. For Jazz lovers, the wait was well worth it! Consisting of 6-tracks composed by Patrick Zimmerli, the instrumental release takes the listener on a fabulous journey of Avant Garde, traditional, and modern Jazz.

Some releases grab you from the opening track; Giulia Millanta – Moonbeam Parade, is one of them. The multi-talented singer, multi-lingual songwriter, musician who hails from Florence, Italy, learned to play guitar from her father at 8, and moved to Austin, Texas in 2012. Backtrack Blues Band – Way Back Home is 10 out-of-the-box fabulous traditional Blues tracks. The band focuses on harmonica driven Chicago Blues with Sonny Charles leading the way, joined by Kid Royal on lead guitar, Little Johnny Walter on rhythm guitar, Stick Davis on bass guitar, Joe Bencomo on drums, and special guest Victor Wainwright layering in piano. Latonya Oliver and Dana Merriweather add their lovely background vocals to make this release one to own.

Richard Elliot – Summer Madness produced by Rick Braun and released on the Heads Up International a division of Concord Music Group label is 10-tracks of pure listening pleasure that combines instrumental Jazz, Funk, and R & B. Joining Richard Elliot on this wonderful release are Rick Braun, Ron Reinhardt, Randy Jacobs, Nathaniel Phillips, Franklin Richardson III, Lenny Castro, Curt Waylee, Rebecca Vega, Gerey Johnson, and Eric Valentine.

The latest release from Saxophonist Tommaso Starace is the melding of two instruments, a horn and piano, to create Tommaso Starace with Michel Di Toro – From a distant past. The resultant release is a masterpiece of melodies, transitions, and complementing musicianship.

Rockers, get ready to rock with The Steepwater Band and their latest release, Shake Your Faith, which consists of 11 tracks of music written by the band: Jeff Massey, Eric Saylors, Tod Bowers, and Joe Winters released on the Diamond Day Records label. The Royal Southern Brotherhood – The Royal Gospel, the latest release from this talented Blues Rock group released on the Ruf Records label features RSB members, Cyril Neville, Bart Walker, Tyrone Vaughan, Darrell Phillips, Yonrico Scott, with special guest Norman Caesar lending his talents on this impressive album.
