Peekskill, New York, named for Dutch businessman Jan Peeck, has a very interesting history, and to learn more about the area, we visited The Peekskill Museum and took a tour with Author and Historian John J. Curran, Museum Vice President, and learned about the history of Peekskill and its historical prominence in the Revolutionary War. The Museum is a treasure trove of information and objects that will inspire historians as well as pique the interest of visitors of all ages.

Award-winning photographers, marine biologists, and conservationists, Cristina Mittermeier and Paul Nicklen, co-founders of SeaLegacy, a non-profit organization dedicated to marine conservation, shared their exceptional experiences and stunning videos and photographs exploring the world and the ocean during their lecture at The Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Connecticut. The lecture was in conjunction with their Double Exposure exhibition at the C. Parker Gallery located on Greenwich Avenue, and it was a very memorable way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The Greenwich Concours d’Elegance 2022, held in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park in Greenwich, Connecticut, provided the fuel for dreams of the automotive kind. The three-day festival held from June 3 – 5, 2022, presented car collectors and car afficionados with the opportunity to see rare, classic, and unusual motorcars and motorcycles. When we learned that The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum in Ridgefield, Connecticut was open again after being closed for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to immediately make a visit. Located in the historic town of Ridgefield, The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum is always at the forefront of the contemporary art world.
