While Wine Weddings: The Ultimate Guide to Creating the Wine-Themed Wedding of Your Dreams by Amy LaBelle is the perfect go-to guide for couples planning their wedding, it is also wonderful to use to plan any event, as Amy shares her knowledge to help you make your wedding or event perfect.

The book begins with an Introduction: Getting Excited for Your Big Day! then takes you through each of the planning stages. The book is divided into ten carefully thought-out chapters ranging from Choosing a Wine Theme - Why Theme Your Wedding? to the last chapter on Designing Wine-Themed Thank You Notes and covers every step along the way in between. 

The step-by-step approach to planning your big day, and Amy's fabulous ideas for making each element of your wedding memorable not only for you but for the guests as well, makes the book a valuable companion. She has great ideas on everything from creating unique place cards, to selecting meaningful wedding presents for the attendants and for the wedding guests. 

Amy also provides culinary ideas to inspire your choice of menu, as well as cocktail recipes and ideas for creating a Signature Cocktail for your wedding. Throughout the years, we have been asked to create many Signature Cocktails for engagement parties, bridal showers, weddings, and other special events, and they always add a special touch of elegance to an event.

Some weddings have a wedding cake and a groom's cake, and we especially like Amy's idea of offering two signature cocktails, one for each of the couple. As the grooms sometimes take a back seat to the brides during the planning process and on the big day, we like the idea of making grooms feel special with their own Signature Cocktail. We think that Amy's "The Gentleman's Martini" would make a sensational groom's cocktail.

Method: Place all liquid ingredients in an ice-filled shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a new glass with fresh ice and enjoy with a twist.
