2012 A Year of New and Exciting Experiences PDF Print E-mail

Luxury Experience would like to thank you for making 2012 such a memorable and rewarding year, and for letting us “Bring the Experience of Luxury to You.”

Luxury Experience's mission is to provide experiential exposure on luxury products and services, and introduce brands and products to an audience across 80+ countries. We are known as the “Online Resource for [you] the Discerning Consumer,” and your continued support is greatly appreciated.

The year 2012 opened some amazing doors to new destinations, hotels, restaurants, chefs, liquors, music and more. In many ways, 2012 was the Year of the Chef as we had the opportunity to take classes and work side-by-side with some of the top Chefs in the USA through the International Culinary Center’s New York Culinary Experience. Classes with Chefs such as Chef Mark Ladner of Del Posto, Chef Boulanger Mark Fiorentino of Daniel, Pastry Chef Brooks Headley of restaurant Del Posto, Chef Missy Robbins of restaurant A Voce, Chef Christophe Bellanca and Pastry Chef Salvatore Martone of L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Chef Michel Nischan CEO, Founder and President of Wholesome Wave, Chef Partner Michael Anthony of Gramercy Tavern, and Chef François Payard of Payard, François Payard Bakery, Inc. and FC Chocolate Bar in New York, provided Luxury Experience with mouth watering recipes (see the Chefs’ Recipes section), as well as cooking tips and techniques (see the Gastronomy section). In addition, Luxury Experience featured many other amazing chefs, their restaurants (see Restaurants section), and recipes (see Chefs’ Recipes section).

We had the opportunity to bring you breathtaking adventures from Squaw Valley, USA and Alpine Meadows in Tahoe City, California where we had the chance to ski with Olympic Champion Jonny Moseley while relaxing, dining, and pampering ourselves during our stay at the Resort at Squaw Creek Olympic Valley USA. (See Adventures, Spas, Hotels and Resorts, Restaurants, and Destinations sections). 

What would a year be without introducing our readers to an assortment of Liquors and cocktail recipes? Featured in the Liquor Cabinet section were Rhum Clement Rhum Vieux Agricole V.S.O.P. Rum, Clement Premiere Canne Rhum Agricole, White Rum, and Cedilla Liqueur de Açai to list a few. Liquor Cabinet cocktail recipes showed what you could do without having to “tip” the bottle with an assortment of DNA (Delectable Non-Alcoholic) cocktail recipes, as well as Thanksgiving Holiday recipes that highlighted some of our favorite culinary and cocktail recipes from 2012. 

The world of music and performances were well represented in 2012. Read the Performances section regarding memorable performances from Taj Mahal, Stevie Nicks, Esteban, GRP Records celebrating their 30th Anniversary with music from Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, Will Kennedy, Tom Kennedy, and Diane Schuur, the New York City Ballet, and the Ballet Folklórico de Antioquia, Colombia, and see the Music Scene section for artists [and groups] such as Fourplay, Lee Ritenour, Mitch Woods, Ian Shaw, Memphis Minnie, Luciana Souza, Tommaso Starace, Jay Collins and the Kings County Band, Teresa Joy Paul, Theresa Andersson, Alice Evans, David Benoit, Jeff Lorber, Arturo Sandoval, and many more.   

The big adventure for me was piloting my first plane, no this was not part of a reduced airline ticket promotion, but it was part of learning to fly a Cirrus SR22, a once in a lifetime experience [for now].
