Craig Martin formed Classic Albums Live in 2003, whose focus is on recreating classic albums and performing the music onstage "note for note, cut for cut."

Since 1950, the seasonal 2,300-seat Cape Cod Melody Tent has presented world-class entertainment in a theatre-in-the-round format where no seat is more than 50 feet from the stage providing a very intimate setting.

The Cape Cod Melody Tent 2014 performance schedule included: Abba The Concert, Bill Cosby, Boyz II Men, Classic Albums Live Presenting "The Dark Side of the Moon," Comedy Central’s Amy Schumer Backdoor Tour, Gregg Allman, Irish Rock Music Festival, Jennifer Nettles, Lyle Lovett, Matt Nathanson and Gavin DeGraw, Trace Adkins, and Ziggy Marley, to name but a few of the many stars that performed there.

On August 23, 2014, we heard Classic Albums Live Presenting Pink Floyd’s – "The Dark Side of the Moon." Although we have the Pink Floyd – The Dark Side Of The Moon CD in our vast music library, and classic rock radio stations still play cuts off the iconic album, it was a memorable journey back in time to hear the complete album played from start to finish without breaks or interruptions as if we were listening to the album.

Craig Martin founded Classic Albums Live, (CAL), based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 2003 with the focus of recreating the music of classic rock albums "note for note, cut for cut." Band members do not recreate the look of the band of the music they are performing, meaning there are no wigs, no costumes, no gimmicks, the band does not interact with the audience, nor do they introduce each song; they just play the music without interruption the way the original band recorded it on the album.

Lead Singer

Pink Floyd fans were in for a treat when the 8-piece CAL band lead by Rob Phillips opened with the first track on the album Speak To Me written by Nick Mason then segued into Breathe In The Air written by Roger Waters, David Gilmour, and Richard Wright. The audience ranged in age from teenagers to baby boomers and beyond, and from the applause on the opening song, the music easily crossed all age groups. It was not long before the fans were singing along with the band and there were more than one or two "air guitars" and "air drums" in the audience.

Keeping with the album line-up, they segued into On the Run by David Gilmour and Roger Waters, Time by Nick Mason, Roger Waters, Richard Wright, and David Gilmour, followed by The Great Gig In The Sky by Richard Wright.

Next in the line-up was Money written by Roger Waters complete with the clock, bells, whistles, and accompanying sounds, followed by the Waters and Wright song Us And Them. The band continued with Any Colour You Like by Gilmour, Mason, and Wright, the Roger Waters song Brain Damage, and the album finish – Eclipse written by Roger Waters, which had the audience on their feet for a rousing standing ovation complete with lighters held in the air reminiscent of the 1970s. Forty-one years after the British band Pink Floyd released The Dark Side Of The Moon album on March 1, 1973, it is one of the most commercially successful rock albums of all time, was on the Billboard chart for more than 14 years, won a Grammy Hall of Fame award, a NME Award for World Album, and an NME Award for British Album; and the music still rocks!
