Ally Venable – Real Gone was Produced by Tom Hambridge, Executive Producer Thomas Ruf, and released on the Ruf Records label. The release Real Gone marks the fifth release from Ally Venable; read the Music Scene section of Luxury Experience for reviews of Ally Venable – Heart of Fire and Ally Venable Band – Puppet Show.

The release opens with the title track Real Gone, a straight-ahead rock and blues track that looks back at her start, "Little guitar queen, I was just 16, Texas neighborhood,…" a nod to the release No Glass Shoes, which she released at 16-years old, and the thrill she gets from touring and performing her music.

Transitioning to a slower pace with the track Going Home, Ally sings about remembering home, the scents, the visuals, the feelings, and for someone who received the Road Warrior Award from the Independent Blues Awards, this shows she is someone who remembers her roots.

The track Justifying comes with Ally’s signature guitar work and excellent harmonies. Broken and Blue features special guest Joe Bonamassa on guitar, and the cross-guitar work between Ally and Joe against Ally’s sultry vocals can be summed up in a few words, "has to be heard to truly be appreciated." Any Fool Should Know is a ballad that comes with a great horn section allowing the flow of the song to resonate against her vocals.

Texas Louisiana, featuring the legendary Buddy Guy on guitar and vocals, is a duet on strings and vocals as they trade off licks that gives this song a blues punch. Blues Is My Best Friend is a passionate Ally Venable on the guitar with great vocal pacing resulting in an exceptional track.

The track Gone So Long is a slow-paced heart tugging track that provides Ally the bridge to show off her depth of songwriting and musicianship. The release closes with the tracks Hold My Ground, a hard pounding blues rock track featuring her vocal skills while her guitar work is the perfect complement, and the closing track Two Wrongs, which is Ally letting her fingers set up the duet with her vocals.
