We
love excellent quality coffee to start our day, an espresso or iced coffee in
the afternoon, as well as used in cocktail and culinary recipes. We recently
"discovered" Java
Love Coffee Roasting Co., and while new to us, they celebrated
their 10-year anniversary on May 1, 2021. With their widely diverse selection
of high-quality coffees, you can break out from your usual coffee routine and
take your palate on a trip around the world with their exotic coffees from Brazil,
Columbia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Papua New Guinea, and Sumatra,
as well as enjoy one of their domestic blends. In addition to their coffee,
they also carry an extensive line of teas available online and at their 4
locations in New York and New Jersey.
Coffee, good quality coffee is the
element of dreams, and was the basis for the Java Love Coffee Roasting Co.
founded in Bethel, New York in May 2011 by Kristine-Ellis Petrik and Jodie
Dawson. Ten years later their dream has now expanded to include 4 stores: 2
locations in New York (Suffern and White Lake), and 2 locations in New Jersey
(Upper Montclair and Montclair Center). Combined
with a strong passion for coffees that "are either organically and/or
sustainably farmed, fair trade and/or rainforest alliance certified," as well
as a commitment to community and exceptional products, Java Love Coffee
Roasting Co. has continued to grow, while staying strong to their roots.
Their exceptional line of coffee
includes Brazil Cerrado, Columbia Jardin Excelso, Costa Rica Rio Negro,
Guatemala La Flor Del Café Antigua, Ethiopia Sidama, Papua New Guinea, Sumatra
Mutu Batak, and many more. One of the things that distinguish Java Love is
that they sell their coffee either as Whole Bean or various grinds including
French Press/Cold Brew, Single Filter Pour Over, Automatic Drip Paper Filter,
Automatic Drip Metal Filter, Espresso Grind, and Keurig Grind, to ensure that
customers get the best coffee experience for their preferred method of making
coffee.
We tried three of their coffees Papua
New Guinea, Brazil Cerrado, and Guatemala La Flor Del Café Antigua,
all medium roasts, and packaged in 12-ounce bags, and had them shipped as whole
bean so that we could grind as needed to match our various coffee makers. Each
coffee we sampled was a standout with their own distinctive flavors.
The Papua New Guinea was described
on the bag as being organically grown with complex notes, sweet acidity, and
spice, crisp and mildly spicy with nutty chocolate and fruits. Brazil Cerrado listed
notes of granola and cashew with sweet tangerines, graham crackers and sweet
cocoa. The Guatemala La Flor Del Café Antigua was delectably smooth and listed
chocolate and caramel notes, floral, aromatics, vanilla-caramel undertones, and
rich chocolate finish.
Citrus Ginger Tea
Although their name is Java Love
Coffee Roasting Co., they also have a lovely selection of teas under the name Java
Love Tea & Co., which are ethically sources loose leaf teas. We sampled
their Citrus Ginger Tea, an organic blend of hibiscus flower, rosehips,
ginger root, orange, and tangerine, which arrived in a sleek black tin 4-ounce
box. This beautiful and very tasty tea should be steeped for 3-5 minutes in
175-degree Fahrenheit water to elicit all the flavor and gorgeous color. For
maximum visual enjoyment and a "wow" factor if serving to guests, make the tea
in a clear teapot or clear mug to capture its beauty.
In addition to drinking the coffee
and tea the usual way, black, no sugar, no cream, Luxury Experience was "In the
kitchen and behind the bar®" creating some incredibly special handcrafted cocktails
and a culinary recipe to tempt your palate and inspire your own creations using
Java Love Coffee Roasting Co. coffees and Java Love Tea & Co. teas.

Slowly add 1 small ladle of hot milk mixture to the egg mixture with the
