The Six Senses Cookbook |

While I was on a "spa journey" at the Six Senses Spa at the Kempinski Hotel Barbaros Bay in Bodrum, Turkey in March 2006, I saw The Six Senses Cookbook with recipes from the Chefs of the Six Senses Resorts & Spas, Photography by Jorg Sundermann, Text by Aun Koh and Published by Archipelago Press, and I knew that this was a cookbook that I wanted to add to my ever-increasing cookbook collection, which at last count numbered over two hundred cookbooks. The photography is dreamy, the recipes are inspired creativity but are easy to follow without requiring master chef level skill techniques, and the presentations will truly involve all of the senses; it's gorgeous!
I am proud to admit that I am an avowed foodie, as are my family and my friends. We love to share our vacation experiences through the food that we experienced on our trips; it is much better than boring family and friends with thousands of photos from our last adventures. Instead, we create the food that we experienced on our trips and then we carefully slip in a few photos after we have first satiated their appetites. Food is a great memory trigger, and creating the food that you loved during your trip will make that special memory of your perfect vacation last a little longer as you savor each morsel that you create. The Six Senses Cookbook will certainly trigger your memory of a fabulous vacation or perhaps act as inspiration for your next trip. It is also a perfect gift for the chef or foodie on your gift list, or even as a tantalizing coffee table book. Until I can return to the Six Senses Spa in Bodrum, Turkey, I will be busy creating inspired cuisine from The Six Senses Cookbook in my kitchen, that is if I can still read the cookbook, after salivating all over the pages!
