The Hamptons are known for their luxury lifestyle, and if you have always dreamed of experiencing the good life there, you will love the White Fences Inn. We stayed at the new luxury boutique bed and breakfast owned by Eric and Liz Brodar and their charming "Ambassa-dog" Bailey, a sweet and friendly Goldendoodle, and loved the experience.
White Fences Inn
Located in Water Mill, New York,
in the Township of Southampton, White Fences Inn opened in 2015 after an
extensive renovation and has 5 exquisite guestrooms including 2 suites. The
charming inn has elegant, contemporary furnishings, luxurious appointments,
high-end amenities, and a secluded outdoor pool that make it a perfect getaway.
Liz and Eric Brodar
Luxury abounds in the guestrooms which have radiant heat floors, beds
invitingly dressed in sumptuous Frette and Matouk linens and an assortment of
pillows for sweet dreams, and modern gas fireplaces that add a touch of
Our spacious and light-filled corner room had three large windows attractively
dressed in Roman shades that overlooked the lush backyard and swimming pool and
the front of the house. Nightstands with large glass lamps flanked the king bed
which had a faux-fur throw that invited curling up and taking a nap, and an
attractive woven leather bench at the end of the bed. The room also had a
little sitting area consisting of two comfortable upholstered chairs flanking a
small marble topped table.
Guestroom Sitting Area
A wall-hung flatscreen television, Frette robes, slippers, an
attractive live white orchid plant and a Nespresso coffee maker on a chest of
drawers, a personal refrigerator in the closet stocked with an assortment of
complimentary beverages, and a basket of complimentary snacks, created a
welcoming ambience. However, it is often the little extras that make a stay
special, and in this case, it was Liz delivering a plate of delicious, homemade,
still warm from the oven, dark chocolate chunk cookies to our room to welcome
us in late March 2017.
A few of the top-of-the-line appointments in the bathroom included a
free standing volcanic stone soaking tub that invited leisurely bubble baths, a
separate glass enclosed shower with three body sprays, a handheld shower head,
and a rainshower fixture, luxurious towels, and a plethora of Malin + Goetz
toiletries including Vitamin B5 Body Wash, Rum Hand and Body Wash, Vitamin E
Shaving Cream, Vitamin E Face Moisturizer, Grapefruit Face Cleanser, Cilantro
Hair Shampoo, and Neroli Shampoo.
Breakfast was an elegant affair served in the attractive dining room
where starched white linen napkins in silver napkin rings presented on silver
and gray placemats complemented Liz Brodar's inspired gourmet three-course
creations. Eric started our day off with cups of Coffee by Design's Rebel Blend
coffee and orange juice, to accompany Liz's delicious and sinfully rich Nutella
Banana Nut muffin, sliced honey roasted pears served with mascarpone cheese,
and an egg sandwich with cheese, bacon, tomato, and romaine lettuce on fabulous
toasted grain bread (for Edward), and Apple Brûlée Oatmeal accompanied with
crispy bacon (for Debra).
