Ladies, beware, the womenswear fashions for Spring 2010 are simply spectacular with exciting collections by Designers Tia Cibani for Ports 1961, Wenlan Chia for Twinkle by Wenlan, and Alexandre Herchcovitch for Rosa Chá as shown on the runways at Bryant Park during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York.
Designer Tia Cibani for Ports 1961 showed an impressive Spring 2010 collection of 50 looks that focused on bias cuts on stiffer fabric and 1930s couture reinterpreted, and the result was stunning utilizing exquisite fabrics and gorgeous details. This was unquestionably a defining collection for this talented designer. The word buzzing on guests' lips after the show was "wow" to which I readily concurred.

For Spring 2010 Tia Cibani collaborated with shoe designer Julia Lundsten, and textiles printmaker Ritsuko Hirai who created the fabric for her collection, and the teamwork was sensational. Tia uses taffeta, organza, and chiffon, as well as velvet, silk satin, lamé, and jersey in her collection of dresses, jumpsuits, coats, and trousers, emphasizing a neutral color palette enlivened with bold cherry.
