Cutting edge, avant-garde menswear best describes the Spring 2010 Collections of Davidelfin, Duckie Brown, and Yigal Azrouël, as shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Bryant Park in New York.
Spring is about nature's beginning and pastel colors to celebrate the season, and for Spanish Designer Davidelfin that meant the liberal use of mint green in his collection. He took a monochromatic approach to styling for the season that included pairing a mint green shirt and narrow tie with slim pants, as well as similar monochromatic looks in turquoise, navy, and charcoal.
Definitely two of his more unusual looks for the season was a black tube top shown with pleated slim black pants, and what I can best describe as shorts/pants, and by that I mean that he had sewn the front of a pair of pleated and cuffed shorts along the seams to the front of a pair of ankle length pants shown in mint green, a look also shown in charcoal.

The shorts in his collection are daringly "up to there" riding high on the thigh and are pleated and cuffed; with ankle length or shorter pants paired with monochromatic shirts with front vest overlays and a sweater vest featured Star Trek-like epaulettes.

For suits, there was a mint green 2-button suit with pleated pants; a 2-tone suit that featured an ivory shirt top attached to a charcoal suit jacket paired with charcoal pants, and definitely pushing the avant-garde look of his collection, he featured a charcoal 2-button suit with one sleeve paired with skinny pants perhaps taking inspiration from the popular one-shoulder looks for womenswear. With designer Davidelfin's collection one thing is certain, Spring 2010 is going to be anything but dull, or same old same old.
Daniel Silver and Steven Cox the designers behind the Duckie Brown label, upheld their daring to be different style with their "Duckie Days Are Here Again - Duckie Brown Spring/Summer 2010" 23 looks collection. Befitting their signature style, straw hats were featured in the collection, however, this being Daniel and Steven, the hats were not classic Panama or boater styles that one usually sees in Spring and Summer, their hats were brimless straw hats with a crease for dapper style rather than for fending off the sun.

Their color palette for Spring/Summer 2010 was a blend of neutrals of cream, off-white, camel, sandstorm, flax, champagne, caramel, eggshell, light and dark grey, tin, chocolate and dark brown, interspersed with colors of apricot, green, violet, pale pink, olive, and orange.
