Brazilian Designer Carlos Miele expertly drapes his designs so that all eyes will be on the wearer. For Fall 2010, Carlos showed an exciting collection of 32 looks consisting of short dresses, gowns, pants, blouses, and skirts. He emphasized high glamour with chain appliqué details, beading, and fur.

He uses a blend of neutrals, black, charcoal, grey, and taupe, and gold, and vibrant jewel tones of purple, red, fuchsia, and electric blue for his color palette that deftly incorporates silk, silk charmeuse, silk chiffon, knits, tropical wool, leather, and bio denim fabric, and he makes the most of fur accent pieces.

Carlos Miele also uses the artesenal Brazilian technique called fuxico, using bits of fabric to create flowers and other interest on his designs. His dresses are sexy, contemporary, and flirty, gowns take on high drama, and pants are high waisted or skinny.

The Fall Collection 2010 show began with his flirty little opening number, a strapless purple, red, fuchsia silk charmeuse short dress with chain appliqué that was slinky, body hugging, with diagonal bright slashes of color. Carlos Miele also showed this same design in taupe, charcoal, and light gold paired with a grey astrakhan capelet and black suede ankle boots with metallic leather strap detail.

His light gold silk charmeuse fuxico short dress with asymmetric strap paired with light gold suede ankle boot with metallic leather strap detail caught the eye, as well as a geometric abstract print cocktail caftan and three-tone sash with chain appliqué which featured elbow length sleeves and brilliant colors. Other collection highlights included an electric blue short dress with chain appliqué with black zigzag and embellished straps was simple, yet stylishly elegant, and a short dress with black and charcoal beaded panels was trendy, contemporary, sophisticated, and sexy.

Gowns were sensuous, and beautifully cut, and his black gown with chiffon pleated skirt, chain appliqué with capped sleeve was stunning with a dramatic plunging v-neckline, waist detail, and elegant flowing lines. Another highlight was his above the knee charcoal draped skirt, black knit sweater, and black bolero with looped detail and chain appliqué, which had lots of appeal.

After the show, Luxury Experience - Edward F. Nesta and Debra C. Argen popped backstage to congratulate Carlos Miele on his Fall 2010 Collection.

Los Angeles-based eveningwear Designer Tadashi Shoji said that he found inspiration for his Fall/Winter 2010 Collection from aerial views during his travels - namely the patterns, shapes, textures, and colors taken in from above. He experimented with new techniques and treatments to bring these elements to his collection.

Tadashi Shoji showed a brilliant collection of 34 inspired looks where elegance prevailed throughout. He used sensuous lace, jersey, georgette, silk crepe, and silk fabrics that caught the rhythm and movement as his models walked the runway that made the most of his color palette of black, midnight, graphite, blue coral, loden, eggplant, poppy, mineral, umber, ecru, evening sand, and golden glow.

The collection focused on luscious layered, pleated, and tucked looks with tiered ruffles that fluttered with movement. His loden fan-pleated lace strapless belted dress was reminiscent of a something a forest fairy might wear, very romantic and dreamy, and his black lace bateau neckline belted dress with evening sand silk underlay was another highlight. Also of interest was his elegant yet sexy, three-quarter length sleeve, above the knee, black lace bateau neckline dress with midnight silk underlay.
