Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association Awards.

Luxury Experience Magazine is once again proud to announce another group of award winners, this time the awards were presented by LISTA (Latinos in Information Sciences and Technology Association) for the Technology Achiever Awards on June 29, 2005 at a Gala Dinner in the River Pavilion at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. After the dinner and awards presentation, guests danced to the sounds of violinist Alfredo De La Fe y Su Orquestra.

Natalia Cruz, Co-Anchor Telemundo and Monica Morales, Reporter WNBC News Channel 4 NY hosted the LISTA awards, and Jose Marquez, National President & Ceo of LISTA provided the opening Welcome. “LISTA is a national organization geared towards the advancement and development of Hispanics in the information sciences, technology and telecommunications industry. Their aim is to achieve educational excellence, economic opportunity, social equity and to empower the community through the use of technology to bridge the digital divide and help end poverty in less fortunate communities.”

The LISTA Starlight Awards were presented to recognize technology excellence and leadership in the following categories:
Corporate Citizen Award was presented to Ms. Magda Yrizarry, VP of Diversity at Verizon.

CIO of the Year was presented to Mr. John Villamil-Casanova, Executive VP & CIO of Aspira Association.

Corporate Visionary of the Year was presented to Ms. Susan Whiting, President & CEO of Nielsen Media Research.

Man of the Year was presented to Mr. Felipe Alvarez, COO of Con Edison Communications, Inc.

The LISTA Technology Achievers Awards were presented to:
Excellence in Technology was presented to Raymon Moya, COO of Argent Associates.

Innovation in Education was presented to Rafael LeClerc, Technology Coordinator, I.S. MS 324 New York Department of Education.

Excellence in Media Technology was presented to Harold Martinez, Producer & Senior Editor, Maximas Productions.
