Galerie ART PASSION,  in Saint Paul-de-Vence, France, held a special exhibit of works from Guido Borelli and Danka Weitzen.

Art is a passion, both for the artist as well as for the collector of fine art. Art evokes emotions, and thus elicits passion. In October 2004, they held an intimate wine reception at their gallery for the Italian artists, Guido Borelli and Danka Weitzen, for guests attending the 5th Annual Unisys Travel & Distribution Executive Summit at the Unisys International Management Conference Centre (www.unisys.com) in Saint Paul-de-Vence. Guests had the opportunity to mingle with the artists, as well as view and to purchase their latest creations.

Artist Guido Borelli was born in Caluso, Italy at the foothills of the Italian Alps. Born into an artistic family, he first discovered painting somewhere between the ages of 4 to 6 years old. He received his art training at Accademia Albertina, in Turin, which was founded in 1672, at the special request of the King. Mr. Borelli is influenced by the Italian realistic style beginning in the 1900’s, especially by the artists Boldini and De Nittis. Inspired by the movement of shadows, his oil paintings reflect nature as their focal points depicting landscapes, as well as homes and villas of Northern Italy and the Alps. Beginning with Guido’s first exhibition at the Ars Plauda Gallery in Turin, Italy in 1969, he has continued to have exhibitions around the world in Italy, Uruguay, Holland, Egypt, United Kingdom, Malta, Norway, Germany, United States, Spain, USSR, Bulgaria, France, Poland, Costa Rica, Kenya, Ethiopia, and Japan. In addition to these rotating exhibitions, he has permanent exhibitions at Galerie ART PASSION in St. Paul-de-Vence, France, as well as throughout the world. Today his work is highly acclaimed and his worldwide collectors including Candice Bergen, Frank Capra, Former US President Jimmy Carter, Placido Domingo, Henry Kissinger, Paloma Picasso, Luciano Pavarotti, Oprah Winfrey, Barbara Walters, and Donald Trump, among many others. He resides in Turin, Italy.

Danka Weitzen

Danka Weitzen is a talented artist who had her first exhibition in Turin, Italy in 1969 at the Ars Plauda Gallery. Since that time, she has had international recognition of her art at exhibits in Holland, Egypt, Malta, Norway, Germany, Ireland, USSR, Senegal, Spain, United States, Bulgaria, Poland, Costa Rica, Kenya, Ethiopia, Portugal, and Romania and throughout Italy, and has a growing list of international collectors. Ms. Weitzen is an artist whose style has continued to evolve and develop over the years, and her new passion is floral still lives, which she eloquently captures. Her style requires the viewer to take a second look, to ensure that indeed the flowers are truly painted and are not real. She resides in Turin, Italy.
