Adventures
The Adventure KidsTM aka
Debra C. Argen and Edward F. Nesta had another exciting winter
adventure, this time at Crystal Springs Resort
in Hamburg, New Jersey by going "glice" skating. No
strangers to adventure, throughout the years we have gone paragliding, parasailing,
ridden ATVs, horses, camels, electric bikes, Segways, have surfed, snorkeled,
swam with dolphins, golfed around the world, have done archery, Nordic and
cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing, dog sledding, paddleboarding, rappelling, ziplining, raced 4-wheel
and 2-wheel vehicles, gone off-road driving, flown a plane, blown glass, made
silver jewelry, and hold professional level scuba diving titles, yet (Edward)
had never gone ice skating. We decided to remedy this during our stay at
Crystal Springs Resort and went "glice" skating. What fun and another adventure
for the books!

The "Adventure KidsTM" aka Debra C. Argen and Edward F. Nesta had the ultimate creative adventure blowing glass at The Hotspot Glass Studio in Fairfield, Connecticut. We have always been fascinated by glass art, whether admiring large-scale works by glass artist Dale Chihuly or watching Swedish glass-blowers hand-blowing our wine glasses. The excitement in transforming liquid sand (aka molten glass) into a beautiful glass art creation has always been high on our "to do" list. What we learned from our class at The Hot Spot Studio is that the art of making glass is a dual process of transformation, for the art created, and for the artist who created it, and we loved what we created! |

As our name "The Adventure Kids"® aka Debra C. Argen and Edward F. Nesta of Luxury Experience implies, we love challenging adventures! When we heard about rappelling the Abismo Anhumas located 23 km from Bonito, in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil, we knew this was an adventure we had to experience. With the Tom Petty song, "Into the Great Wide Open" playing in our heads, we were ready to experience the ultimate adventure of rappelling 72 meters (236 feet, the equivalent of a 26-story building) to experience the incredible formations in this wet cave. Our adventure involved specialized training, trekking to the site, rappelling, snorkeling, and a boat ride around the inside of the cave to fully experience its majestic wonders. At the end of our experience, we wanted to do it all over again! |

We experienced the thrill of the rodeo at Mesquite ProRodeo in Mesquite, Texas, where 8-seconds to a cowboy can mean emerging as a hero or resulting in a heartbreak. While 8-seconds may not seem like a very long time, in rodeo, it can seem like a lifetime for the contestants in bareback, saddle bronc, and bull riding competitions, exhilarating when achieved, yet it is often illusive. Yee-haw!
